Hello everyone, Richard wanted to pass along that he is safe and back in Nepal! For all of our new visitors on #Giving Tuesday thank you for the support and below is a quick description of who we are!
The foundation was named in honor of the late Miles Levin, a Detroit teenager whose blog about his battle with cancer became nationally famous. Organized in 2010, the Miles Levin Nepal Foundation for Health and Education’s (MLNFHE) mission is to improve public health, health care, and educational opportunities in the remote Himalayan district of Khotang, housing approximately 60 villages and 250,000 people. This area is cut off from roads and communication, has no waste management (toilets) or clean drinking water, and has severely limited access to adequate health care and educational opportunities.
