Baspani Health Post and Birthing Center

Rendered uninhabitable by the 2015 earthquake, the Baspani Health Post and Birthing Center (HPBC,) with a staff of six people, had been temporarily housed in two small rooms in the local school. In the fall of 2019 D2N completed and moved them into the new building.

The new health post has four rooms, a storeroom and a bathroom. Two toilets are housed in a detached structure. The HPBC serves approximately 2125 people in the area.

The clinic was built in honor of Shirley Keidan Raymond, whose greatest joy was being a mother.

Photos below show the progression of the construction as well as the HPBC interior.
